NEST360 is an international alliance of clinical, technical, and public health experts from 17 leading institutions, governments and organizations including: University of Ibadan, University of Lagos, Rice360 Institute for Global Health Technologies, Northwestern University and other Institutions in Kenya, Malawi, Ethopia, Tanzania and around the globe.
NEST360 has established six design studios in Nigeria, Ethiopia, Malawi, Kenya and Tanzania. Design studios serve as centres for prototyping, innovation, and design. The NEST360 program is aimed at partnering with African governments, universities and hospitals to put in several measures like trainings, development of innovative technologies that will culminate in the prevention of majority of the newborn deaths in Africa.
One of such strategies of NEST360° is the creation of a design studio in the University of Ibadan.
The University of Ibadan (UI) Design Studio Innovation Hub came into existence through the Newborn Essential Solutions and Technologies (NEST360°) program of the Institute of Global Health Technologies at Rice University, Houston, Texas, United States of America.
